Wills Place, Melbourne

Client: Undisclosed

Location: Melbourne CBD

Completion: TBA

The design of Wills Place incorporates 200 apartments with an efficient layout of spaces, with a focus on harnessing an abundance of ambient and natural light throughout.

The architectural expression is reflective of the surrounding architectural building typologies with the façade of Wills Place directly demonstrating this. From a distance the building has a distinct identity, yet still remains respectful to the existing context of the Flagstaff area.

The classic 1930’s heritage façade at the centre of Wills Street, which has been retained at the street frontage, contributes to the building’s response to the urban design fabric of the surrounding neighbourhood.

The second level of the building, still sitting within the existing shell of the heritage façade will incorporate loft apartments, inclusive of an industrial style, glass and steel façade, which connects the heritage frontage with the lower levels of the new residential tower.
